Robbery Done Right

Two thugs are no match for a "seasoned" bystander/potential victim.  Just ask Davis Dawkins and Duwayne Henderson, both age 19.  Dawkins and Henderson decided it would be a bright idea to rob an internet cafe in Ocala, Florida.

Thankfully, one of the cafe patrons, Samuel Williams, age 71, was armed with a pistol and decided he didn't want to get robbed or killed that night.  He stood up and fired at Dawkins and Henderson, who tucked their tails between their legs, remembered they had somewhere else to be, and tripped over each other on the way to the hospital.  One is currently at guest of the state at the local GrayBar Inn, and the other will head there once the doctors are done plugging up the extra holes he picked up during his adventure.

That, my friends, is how it's supposed to work.

Indeed. Well done Sir!

The scumbags deserved no better, but it looked like he continued to fire after they were fleeing. Is there a possibility of trouble for the older gentleman in that case?

@Other Anonymous - Put me on the jury and there will be no trouble at all for shooting at them while they are fleeing. I might just find a reason to send the old guy to jail for stopping at the door and not tracking them down until the job was finished. Street punks didn't get half of what they deserve.

Overall, nice shooting grandpa! And, thanks for making other sacks o' crap think twice before doing something like this...

Anon 1: I thought the same thing when I first saw the video. From one angle it looks like Mr. Williams was firing as the suspects were going out the door. However, another angle (the last one seen in the video) shows that the loser holding the handgun was on his rear end and now facing back at Mr. Williams. Since it does not appear that the robber ever dropped the gun, it's not a stretch to say that, at that moment, the man still posed a deadly threat.
